n. ~ A special class of personal information that relates to racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, or trade union membership; health or sex life; or offenses, criminal convictions, or security measures.
Defined in "On the Protection of Individuals with Regard to the Processing of Personal Data and on the Free Movement of Such Data," Sec. III, Art. 8 (1) (EU Council Directive 1995/46/EC, 1995).
