n. ~ PaaST (Manifestation) · A concrete, physical implementation of an intellectual entity capable of communicating information as originally intended.
- PaaST (1.0) 2017 (†860 p. 14): A Manifestation is the output of an IntellectualEntity in a form accessible to humans; for example, on a display device, audio speaker, or in hard copy. (†2449)
- PaaST (1.0) 2017 (†860 p. 21): It might seem that HumanReadableIntellectualEntity is equivalent to Manifestation and MachineReadableIntellectualEntity equivalent to RuntimeVersion. However, the two pairs are correlated, but not equivalent. A MachineReadableIntellectualEntity has only a RuntimeVersion, while a HumanReadableIntellectualEntity has both a RuntimeVersion and a Manifestation. Neither form of Instantiation is persistent. Both Machine- and HumanReadableIntellectualEntities are expressed in Binary Encodings. (†2460)
